Omenana Magazine

Omenana seeks speculative fiction from writers from Africa and the African Diaspora, with characters, settings or themes directly related to the African continent; short fiction is capped at 5,000 words and stories must be in English, previously unpublished, and original. The guidelines page states submissions were open until 15 March 2026, a date now past, and that the magazine pays $20 for every story published, with no currency named. It says it can only communicate with writers whose work is accepted.
