The Ex-Puritan

The Ex-Puritan is a Canadian literary magazine that seeks submissions all year round and pays $150 CAD per work of fiction. Its fiction call takes one story at a time of 1,000 to 10,000 words (no flash fiction under 1,000 words and no novel excerpts), must be previously unpublished, and allows simultaneous submissions; regular submissions are free of charge, an optional $3 fee category is available, and no-fee submissions may close when the monthly limit is reached, with submissions received by December 25 considered for the winter issue and a decision promised within four months.
