Uncharted Magazine's 2026 Novel Excerpt Prize, judged by Liz Shipton, takes novel excerpts of 1,001 to 5,000 words from October 15 to December 13, 2026, for a $20 reading fee, waived for writers from historically marginalized groups until a cap of 25 free entries is reached.
