What they accept
Apex Magazine's Flash Fiction Contest is a themed monthly contest, open to the public from the 7th through the last day of each month, with each month's theme announced on Patreon and off-theme stories rejected. No multiple or simultaneous submissions are allowed due to the contest structure, and winners are published as a Patreon exclusive before appearing in Apex Magazine. The page does not state a contest-specific word cap or pay rate; it states a general payment of 8¢/word for submissions up to 9,000 words and directs entrants to the full guidelines on Moksha.
