What they accept
EVENT is Douglas College's literary magazine, accepting general unsolicited submissions by Submittable only. Fiction and poetry windows fall in January, July, August, and December, opening on the first of the month and closing on the last day or when the unpaid submission limit is reached; the next window opens December 1. It takes one short story of up to 5,000 words at a time, charges no fee, accepts simultaneous submissions, requires previously unpublished work, and pays $35 per page for prose up to a maximum of $500, plus two contributor copies.
