What they accept
If There's Anyone Left is an annual volume of flash science fiction and speculative fiction by marginalized members of the speculative community — people of color, LGBTQ2S+ writers, writers of marginalized genders, and disabled and neurodiverse writers. It takes original stories of no more than 1,000 words during a June 1 to July 15 window each year, and pays 8 cents (USD) per word. Stories newly translated into English are also accepted, with the author and the translator each paid at the same rate.
