What they accept
Tails of Terror is an animal-attack horror anthology in which every story takes place in 1977 and involves a pet obtained from Rosco's Pet Emporium in the fictional Black Pines, Colorado; pet-store-plausible animals only, a serious tone, and supernatural elements strongly discouraged. Stories run 4,000 to 6,000 words and submissions close December 1, 2026; multiple submissions are allowed, but only one story per author can be chosen. It pays $25 USD flat plus one printed contributor copy, and reprints may be considered if disclosed.
