What they accept
Exchanges: Journal of Literary Translation, the University of Iowa's journal of literary translation, states on its submissions page that it is open for submissions, with a deadline of October 30, 2026 for its Fall issue, MODERNITIES. Its regular guidelines accept translations of short stories or novel excerpts into English of no more than 4,000 words, submitted by email with the original text, author and translator biographies, a Translator's Note of about 500 words, and proof of translation rights; simultaneous submissions are accepted with notification, and the journal has no funds to compensate translators, authors, or artists.
