What they accept
Hunger Mountain Review, the literary journal of Vermont College of Fine Arts, accepts unsolicited fiction during spring and fall submission periods through Submittable; its portal states there are presently no open calls, and the next window is not stated. It takes prose of no more than 4,000 words (or up to three flash or hybrid pieces in one document), welcomes simultaneous submissions with prompt withdrawal if work is accepted elsewhere, and does not accept work already published or forthcoming elsewhere. Its guidelines and portal state no submission fee or payment terms.
