What they accept
Pyrite is The Slab Press's space heist anthology — science fiction stories of scavenging, piracy, and prospecting in pursuit of unreliable, fool's-gold dreams, character-focused and set in space — part of its Minerals series, to be published in March 2027. It takes stories of 10,000 to 25,000 words from November 1 to November 30, 2026, and pays 1p per word up to a £100 maximum. It takes no reprints apart from first English translations and first print rights for stories previously published only as audio, and bars AI-written work.
