What they accept
The Stinging Fly takes short fiction and novel extracts with no stated word limit — work should be as long or short as it needs to be — in announced submission rounds, with no fee. No round is open on November 5, 2026; the next opportunities are to be posted in early 2027. Work must be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere, and fiction is paid €50 per magazine page with a minimum of €375 and a maximum of €1,250 (flash fiction €175), with contact aimed for within four months of a round's closing date.
