What they accept
Interpret Magazine accepts submissions in any language from anywhere in the world, taking up to two stories per submission with a limit for short fiction of 2,500 words, and all unsolicited work must be unpublished in English-language magazines. Writers in French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian are not required to supply an English translation, as the editor is a professional translator of those languages; work in any other language must be accompanied by a full translation into English. Submissions are free for any writer who needs them to be; writers with the means are asked to contribute £3 toward editorial fees.
- AI policy
- Interpret does not accept texts written, edited, or translated by AI; a temporary computer translation supplied for lack of a translator must be declared in the submission email.
